작품명 : TIME DECOMPOSITION

피카소는 예술은 진실을 감지하도록 가르치는 일종의 위선이라고 했다.미디어는 위선적 성격이 강한 매체이다.나는 미디어의 속성을 뒤집어서 만든 그 위선을 통해 canon을 붕괴 시키려고 한다.우리는 세계가 가진 절대 진리는 과연 절대적인가에 대해 생각해 볼 필요가 있다.그것은 인류와 문명과 과학 기술 등 우리 인간이 가진 한계를 극복하는 계기가 될 것이며, 또한 예술의 가장 중요한 역할도 이것이 아닐까 생각해본다.
제작 방법 해가 지는 다리 위에서한 남자가 매우 천천히 걷는다.뒷 배경은 지는 해가 보여야 하고 걷는 사람은 매우 천천히 걸어야 한다.마치 슬로우 모션 같은 움직임으로 굉장히 느린 움직임을 취한다.
그리고 카메라는 인물의 측면을 follow shot 으로 촬영한다.카메라는 인물의 움직임과 동일한 속도로 움직여야 하고 인물은 해가 질 때까지 걷도록 한다.촬영이 모두 끝나면 영상 편집툴로 촬영된 영상 속 사람이 정상 속도의 걸음처럼 영상의 듀레이션(speed)를 빠르게한다.그러나 녹음된 소리는 반대로 느리게 한다.
그럼 완성된 영상은, 인물은 정상속도로 걷고 배경 속 해는 매우 빠르게 질 것이다.반면에 소리는 아주 느리게 늘어진 소리가 들리게 된다. 이렇게 한가지 영상 속에는 빠르고 정상이고 느린, 3가지 시간이 공존하게되는것이다.시간은 불가역적인 방향으로 오직 관통하는 하나의 차원이다.그 안에서 구별되는 연속적인 요소들은 주제를 중심으로 간격을 정하며 서로 관련 되어진다.하지만 느리게 걷는 인물의 행위로 인해 화면 안에 모든 객체는 시간적 공존성이 파괴 된다.결과적으로 미디어를 통해 시간의 법칙을 붕괴시키고 그 경계를 허무는 작업이다.

TIME DECOMPOSITION

Picasso said: art is a sort of a hypocrisy that lets people detect the truth.Media is a strong hypocritical medium.I tried to break down the canon with the hyprocrisycreated by overturning the attributes of the media.
We need to think over whether the absolute truth in the the world is absolute.I think, it will be an opportunity to overcome the human limitations of humanity and civilization, including science and technology, etc.Moreover, this will the most important role of art.

Production Method
A man slowly walks on the bridge on a sunset.The sun should be seen in the background, and the man should walk slowly.He moves like one in a extreme slow-motion picture.
And the man is taken from the side as a follow shot.The camera should move at the same speed as the man, and the man walks until the sun goes down.After all the shooting, the video should be edited so that the man walks at a normal pace by speeding up the duration of the movie.Whilst, the recorded sound is slowed down.So, the finished video should be showing the man walking at a normal speed, and sun in the background will be going down very fast.On the other hand, the sound will be heard very slow lap. So, three different speed of time- Normal, fast and slow- coexist in one shot.Time is a one-dimensional frame that flows towards inirreversible direction.Distinct elements in the successive intervals around the subject constituents are related to each other.
However, due to the act of the man walking slowly, all objects in the screen destroy the temporal coexistence.As a result, the media collapses the law of time, the boundary between time throughand.
